Disco Dance

Disco is a musical style that emerged in the early 1970s from America’s urban nightlife scene, where it originated in house parties and makeshift discothèques, reaching its peak popularity between the mid-1970s and early 1980s. Disco was a key influence in the later development of electronic dance music and house music. With a slight faster tempo comes the music for the disco dance style which we teach in the MM13. The style is influenced by the disco we remember with a twist. The style itself demands very agile, flexible body, high endurance and strength which, while performing it on the stage, must look effortless.
